About Your
Welcome to the World Session
Suitable for babies age 1-4 weeks – £95
During this session we capture the sleepy, still and peaceful images of your newborn baby as we welcome them to the big, wide world. Although we offer this session for up to 4 weeks old, to really capture the peaceful, sleepy poses you see in the gallery it is recommended the session takes place between 5 – 14 days old. After this time, your baby loses their “newborn curl” which lends itself beautifully to these images and they also start to become less sleepy.
During this delicate stage your baby is transitioning from the womb so we keep the studio warm and peaceful to maintain their comfort. There is also time for feeds, skin to skin, soothing lullabies and anything else that helps your newborn baby to feel comfortable, safe and secure during their time at the studio.
We strongly recommend you book your Welcome to the World session during your pregnancy due to a high level of demand at the studio. Although we always try to be flexible and accommodating, there’s nothing worse for us than when we have to say no to such a special session due to no availability. As we cannot predict when your baby will be born we book your newborn session in one week after your due date. If your baby arrives early or late the session is simply rearranged. No charge. No fuss. During this precious time we aim to make everything as seamless and easy for you as possible, the last thing you should be worrying about is your photography session when you are learning all about your newborn baby.
During the session, we will discuss your vision for the images and any particular ideas or styling you have in mind. Combined with Victoria’s creative flair and wide selection of studio props you are guaranteed to receive images that you will fall in love with, time and time again.
We had a newborn photoshoot as a gift which included one print. We ended up buying the complete set of photos as we couldn’t choose since they were all beautiful. We also purchased the first year package and can’t wait to come back! Thanks you! x
